Price list questions
What does "installed" include in these prices?
The unit, standard installation (back-to-back mounting for splits, standard roof runs for ducted) and GST, one number, the way quotes should arrive. Long pipe runs, double-storey access, electrical upgrades and strata requirements are legitimate extras on top.
Why are these ranges and not exact prices?
Because the same unit legitimately costs different amounts across installers and homes. The range shows what fair looks like; the exact number comes from quotes on your actual job. Anything outside the range needs a good explanation.
Which brand is cheapest?
Budget imports start around $1,200 for a 2.5kW unit, but the cheapest brand is rarely the cheapest system to own, efficiency, warranty support and installation quality decide the ten-year cost. The table is a starting point, not a verdict; the brand pages carry the honest trade-offs.
